Being a Marketer, we regularly receive emails on upcoming webinars, popular posts, articles, Test your score on various Marketing Initiatives etc. I received one such email from Lyris on “Test your eQ( Email Quotient ).Since at Bentley Systems, we send regular dose of email to our users, I was curious to see the result which this quiz will display. So I downloaded the Quiz (It was in excel, I expected a form).Nevertheless, the questions were framed tightly and were up to the mark. When I clicked on enter button, it showed my eQ as 48.But to my surprise I did not find the range which would define what this score meant. On the Lyris website , somewhere it is mentioned “Join our Group on LinkedIn”. I joined the group and posted my concern there. Within a day I received response from Erick Mott, Communications Director @Lyris and he assured that this will be fixed. The idea was not to malign Lyris in any way but to highlight the error as this Quiz would have been promoted to huge database. And corrective action was initiated by Lyris. A small act but it got registered in my memory.
This is the power of Social Media. Conversations which evoke immediate action from the organization and lead to improvement. One of the Best Practice of Social Media Marketing. | |
